The first ordination for the Province took place on May 16th in Santa Clara, CA Nicolas Cabrera was ordained to the priesthood. The Mass of Ordination was held at Our Lady of Peace Shrine and Church where Fr. Nicolas was a member of the youth group prior to entering the seminary. Many relatives and friends were in attendance at the celebration which began with the Holy Mass and ended with a dinner reception in the parish hall. In honor of Fr. Cabrera’s Mexican heritage the reception included performances by a mariachi band and a group of Mexican folk dancers. We give thanks to God for the grace of Fr. Nicolas’ ordination and for blessing our Religious Family with another missionary priest. We ask that you pray for Fr. Nicolas’ perseverance and for the fruits of his future work in the missions.
