The Feast of Saint Joseph of Anchieta – Brazil

Co- Patron of the Province

On the 9th of June we celebrated the day of our great patron, the apostle of Brazil and Co-Patron of our province: Saint Joseph of Anchieta.  The celebrations began on the eve of the feast day with the office of readings and culminated the next day with the Holy Mass.  This year we also held a soccer tournament among the houses, which was lived in a spirit of fierce competition and great joy.  Long live the apostle of Brazil!

Visit of Father Nieto to the Missions of Central Asia

From the 8th to the 13th of July, Fr. Nieto visited the missions of the Institute in Central Asia.  June 8^th he arrived in Shimkent, and was there until Sunday, June 10^th.  Afterward we visited Samarcanda (Uzbekistan), and then the city of Khujand, in Tajikistan, where, God willing, we will build a shrine in honor of Our Lady of Lujan.

What a pilgrimage! What a team! What friendship!…What happiness!  Despite the 50 km we covered, punctuated by a few rainshowers on Friday, and the heat of the sun on Saturday, despite their fatigue the smiles on the faces of the women summed up what they had lived for three days.  How can we describe this pilgrimage in just a few lines?  The 21 women, 2 sisters (Rouen and Beatitude) and Fr. Anthony joined the walk to the shrine and met up with the 1800 women coming from the 4 corners of France.
