FR Daniel Vitz IVE - IVE America

In Pious Memory of Fr. Daniel Clayton Vitz, IVE on the First Anniversary of His Death
(8/19/1977 – 4/19/2019)

“We want to be ‘like another humanity of Christ.’1 We want to be chalices full of Christ, chalices that allow the superabundance of His grace to overflow upon others.”2

“I pray for the grace to be martyred for Christ and His Church. I never make my thanksgiving after Holy Mass without asking to be granted this grace, and when I first wake up in the morning and right before I go to sleep at night I beg the intercession of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs to obtain this grace for me. I have a long litany of martyrs who I pray to daily asking for their intercession for the same intention. Simply put, it is the greatest desire of my soul.”3

“I would therefore like to most earnestly make this offering of myself: If a situation arises where a priest needs to go into a dangerous situation, one in which there is a real danger of martyrdom, I ask that you will consider that I have volunteered for just such a situation, and that I will joyfully go wherever you ask. More than that, I will consider you to have done me a very great favor.”4

We offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the eternal repose of the soul of our dear Fr. Daniel Vitz, IVE on the first anniversary of his death.
